With degrees in physics and biophysics, and over 20 years of industry experience, Dr. Sundberg brings a unique combination of systems perspective, creative & analytical thinking, and excellent problem-solving skills to the challenge of developing and commercializing novel bioassay technologies. He has been an early-stage employee and key contributor to several successful technology companies, including Affymax and Caliper Technologies. His industry experience includes research & development work on novel optical detection techniques, microarray technologies, and microfluidic devices and systems, along with extensive management experience in leading multidisciplinary teams of scientists and engineers. He presently consults for bioscience companies in the San Francisco bay area.
